Outline of Research at the Start

放射線性顎骨壊死は、頭頸部癌放射線治療後の難治性の合併症である。問題は有効な治療法がないことで、未だに治療ガイドラインすら存在しない。同疾患の発症・重篤化・維持には線維化が深く関与している。線維化は主に線維芽細胞から分化した筋線維芽細胞がその主役をなし、Rho/ROCKシグナル伝達がその分化を制御する。本研究ではこれに着目し、放射線性顎骨壊死を代表とする顎顔面領域の線維化疾患における新規治療戦略を開発する。
