Outline of Research at the Start	超高齢社会に突入したわが国では、骨粗鬆症の予防対策が急務である。申請者は、人工知能(AI)を用いたコンピュータ診断支援システムに着目し、下顎骨の新たなX線画像形態指標である「皮質骨脆弱度」と「歯槽骨密度」が、全身の骨と同じく加齢性変化を示し、さらに潜在的な骨折リスクとも相関することを見出した。本研究課題では、骨粗鬆症スクリーニングに有効なそれらのカットオフ値の算出に取り組む。
