Outline of Research at the Start

近年、血清中や組織中、唾液中のmicroRNA (miRNA) が様々ながんのバイオマーカーとして有用であることが報告されている。特に頭頸部領域のがん（頭頸部がん）のバイオマーカーは、その部位的特性からヒト唾液中に溶出されている可能性が高く、資料として注目されている。一方、頭頚部がんのリスクに口腔内細菌叢が影響している可能性が報告されているが、データは十分でない。また、miRNAと口腔内細菌叢との相互作用は不明である。そこで本研究では、頭頚部がん患者の唾液中miRNA、および口腔内細菌叢を網羅的に解析し、その相互関係の検討およびバイオマーカーの探索を行う。
