Outline of Research at the Start

がん検診には、「利益」だけでなく偽陽性や偽陰性、過剰診断、受診者の身体的・精神的負担といった「不利益」も存在する。すべての検診には不利益が生じる可能性があるが、本研究では、厚生労働省の「がん予防重点健康教育及びがん検診実施のための指針」に基づかないがん検診に焦点を当て、検診のもたらす利益、不利益を定量的に評価することを目的とする。市区町村単位に計測された、最新の公的データ（全国がん登録情報、人口動態調査死亡票、全国がん検診実施状況調査）を利用する。得られた結果は、国民に対しては検診の利益・不利益への正しい理解を広める啓発資料となり、政策決定者に対しては施策につながるエビデンスとなりうる。
