Outline of Research at the Start	本研究では、1,026名の超高齢者コホートの追跡調査を行い、90歳以上のスーパーエイジャーの脳MRI画像の特徴および、それに関連する臨床的要因、神経心理機能、ライフスタイルを特定し、認知症リスクを有さないレジスタンスだけでなく、認知症リスクを有してもなお認知機能の低下しないレジリエンスの認知機能の保護因子を明らかにする。さらに前向き追跡調査を行い、スーパーエイジャーの医療介護費用を推計する。本研究により、超高齢期の認知機能維持に関した基礎的知見と、地域における行動介入戦略を提案し、その結果が社会保障費に与えうる影響を検証することを目的とする。
