Outline of Research at the Start	第四期がん対策推進基本計画において、緩和ケアの提供体制の整備及び質の向上について、具体的な方策等に課題があることが指摘されている。本研究の主な目的は、①がん患者が求める緩和ケアに対する真のニーズを把握し、そのニーズの充足度や充足に至らない要因の特定や課題の抽出すること、②緩和ケアの提供体制の実態やケアの質の評価・改善活動の実施状況および阻害要因を特定すること、そして、①②を総括し、緩和ケアを受ける側と提供する側の双方の視点から、③緩和ケアの提供体制や質の向上に当たり、重点的に介入・改善すべき対象や方法などを具体的に検討することである。
