Outline of Research at the Start

神経膠腫の治療は，可能な限り手術で腫瘍を摘出し，病理診断後に放射線治療および化学療法を行うことである．科学的に確かな機能予後を伝えることは，治療方針や余生の過ごし方など本人と家族の納得のいく意思決定に寄与する．本研究では，多数例の神経膠腫患者を対象に遺伝子診断や認知神経科学的検査，高次脳機能を縦断的に評価・集積し，高次脳機能の機能予後と関連する因子の関係を解明することを目的とする．本研究の結果，患者に科学的に確かな機能予後を伝え，納得のいく意思決定に寄与することが期待できる．
