Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、がん性サルコペニア対するシンバイオティクスの有効性を明らかにする。そのために、シンバイオティクスがプロバイオティクスに比べがん性サルコペニアを抑制もしくは改善するか、抗がん剤によるサルコペニア増悪を抑制するか、また、抗がん剤による腫瘍抑制効果を増強するかを検討する。また、がん患者のがん治療開始時におけるサルコペニアの発生率と化学療法前後の腸内細菌叢の変化を調査する。本研究から得られる知見は、シンバイオティクスががん治療時にサルコペニアに作用することを示すものである。
