Outline of Research at the Start

国内において意識障害患者に対する系統的な評価や治療方法開発のための介入研究はほとんど行われていない。しかしながら、国外ではComa Recovery Scale-Revised(CRS-R)により意識障害の評価は標準化されている。また、一部の薬物療法や非侵襲的脳刺激治療が意識障害を改善させる効果があることが示されている。本研究ではクロスオーバー法によるランダム化比較試験を行い、意識レベルの変化を評価することにより、意識障害に対する反復経頭蓋磁気刺激治療(rTMS)の有効性を検証する。上記治療方法の有効性を示すことができれば、意識障害に対する治療方法の開発に貢献できるものと予想される。
