Outline of Research at the Start	序論：日本人妊娠女性においてビタミンA（VA）、ビタミンD（VD）の不足が懸念される。さらに母体のVA、VD状態が児の出生体格等に影響している可能性があるが、科学的根拠が不足している。目的：①母児の血清VA、VD濃度の評価、②母体の血清VA、VD濃度と児の出生体格等との関連の調査、③血清VD濃度と葉酸代謝との関連性を明らかにする。方法：対象者は出生コホート研究に参加者する健康な妊娠女性及びその児146組。母体血（妊娠初期、後期、分娩時）と児の臍帯血中の血清を用いてVAまたはVDの状態を反映する代謝物の測定を行う。母親のライフスタイルに関するデータや母児の医療データはすでに入手済みである。
