Outline of Research at the Start

マレーシア国内には、マレーシア市民権をもつタイ深南部地域出身のマレー・ムスリムが多数存在し、タイで続く分離独立運動に直接的・間接的に関与してきたといわれる。マレーシアに存在するタイ料理店のネットワークは、移民の相互扶助や生活環境の改善を目指して、ボトムアップ的に出現した組織であるものの、タイ政府に疑念の目で見られてきた。本研究では、マレーシアにおける市民組織の実態調査を通して、越境的な活動を展開するムスリム市民社会組織が、タイ深南部における政治運動やタイ・マレーシア関係に与えた影響を検討したい。
