Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、対馬における国境観光の構造とホスト／ゲストの実践を明らかにし、国境地域における観光を通じた国際交流のあり方を検討するものである。2000年代以降韓国人の海外旅行への需要が高まるなか、韓国と地理的に近い対馬は気軽に訪問できる海外旅行先として認知され、多くの韓国人観光客が訪れている。本研究では、対馬における国境地域として有する地政学的特性の観光資源化の様相や国際観光の政治経済的・社会文化的特性、地域住民のまなざしや韓国人観光客との出会いの経験を明らかにし、国境地域における国際観光の社会文化的役割を解明する。
