Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、日本のゲイのナイトカルチャーにおいて、かつては周縁化されていた異性
装の一つであるドラァグクイーンが、いかにして自らの立場を切り開いてきたのかについて、そのポリティクスを実証的に明らかにするものである。本研究において得られるドラァグクイーンの黎明期に関する検討結果は、ゲイという単一のセクシュアリティのみならず、ジェンダー／セクシュアリティ領域に一定の含意をもたらすものである。これまで日本のゲイ・カルチャーでは男らしさが自明視されてきたが、多様な女性性をいかに内包していたのかについて明らかにすることで、その再構築を試みるものである。
