Outline of Research at the Start

1つの身体に1つの心（意識）を持つことは人間の最小の構成要素であり，身体は自己と他者とを明確に区別する物理的境界である．では，自己と他者を区別する認知的境界はなにであり，身体はその境界の形成にあたりどのような役割を担うのだろうか．本研究では，実世界では実現が困難である他者と1つの身体を共有する状況を，融合身体と呼ばれるVR技術により達成し，他者の認知的状態の理解および他者との関わりにおける身体の役割を目的とする．身体を共有する他者の認知的状態の推測可能性と，その後の他者との関わり方の実験的検討を端緒として，自己の意識と他者の意識を支える認知基盤の解明を目指す．
