Outline of Research at the Start

本申請課題はこれまで希薄であった歯科と医科の学際的連携を促進し，脳血管壁のコラーゲン，フィブロネクチン，ラミニンなどマトリソームに結合する特定の口腔内細菌が脳病理，特に脳卒中の病態に関わる新たな発症メカニズムを明らかにし，precision medicineとしての新たな脳卒中医療の確立に挑む．その意義として，①口腔科学と脳科学が有機的に連携する領域横断性，②研究結果を直ちに公衆衛生学的に活用できる発展性，③脳出血の革新的治療法開発を見据えた革新性の3点が挙げられる．これまでに申請者が確立してきた歯科-医科連携の実績に基づき，出口戦略を見据えた研究を展開する．
