Outline of Research at the Start

従来の臨床研究では、病理組織標本やCT/MRIなどの画像所見を用いた研究を行う場合、原則として個人を基本的な単位として分析を行ってきた。本研究では、専門家の協同により、実臨床で蓄積されてきた病理組織や画像所見に含まれる、これまで活用が不十分であったデータを、空間疫学的解析に基づき、病態解明・精緻な診断支援・予後予測につなげる手法をうちたてること、ならびに解析パイプラインの基盤を構築することである。本研究により、メッシュ/voxelあるいは細胞単位での分析レベルを保ったまま、患者レベルでのアウトカムである症状やQOLまでをつらぬく、これまでにない革新的な疫学手法を確立することが期待できる。
