Outline of Research at the Start

本研究の目的は、東京都八丈島における生業の持続可能性について実証的に分析、考察することで、島嶼事例研究の豊潤化、アクターネットワーク論の採用によるモノ研究／コモディティ研究の記述方法の刷新、島嶼スタディーズの構築という実践を行うことである。複数の生業間の関係とエネルギーも含めた地域資源の循環を分析視野に入れ、島の生業の持続性をトータルに理解することを企図し、単一のモノ・コモディティではなく複数の生業から島嶼のレジリエンスを分析する。また生業に係わる「聞き書き」集とそのビジュアル化を行い島アイデンティティの回復につながる八丈スタディーズの萌芽になる実践に接続させる。
