Outline of Research at the Start	本申請は、河川地形から未発見の活断層を探索する手法を構築し、地震被害の軽減に貢献することを目的とする。河川の縦断勾配の急変点である滝などの地形は遷急点と呼ばれ、過去の地殻変動や大規模な土砂災害の履歴を示している。本申請では、遷急点と既往の地震被害との関係を解明し、遷急点による未発見の活断層の探査手法の構築を行う。
