Outline of Research at the Start

PET分解活性を示す土壌のシングルセルゲノム（SCG）解析により得られたPET代謝酵素群に着目し、これら酵素群の生化学的な機能解明、およびその構造－機能相関解明に取り組む。また同時に、追加のSCG解析を進め、多様なPET分解関連酵素遺伝子の探索・同定を進める。そして、得られた高機能な酵素の遺伝子をI. sakaiensisに導入することにより、高PET代謝株の創製を目指す。
