Outline of Research at the Start	多剤輸送体は様々な構造の脂溶性化合物を認識して輸送することが可能であり、これは一般的な酵素に見られる「鍵と鍵穴」モデルから大きく逸脱する。本研究は多剤輸送体と近縁の脂質輸送体を人為的に多剤輸送体に改造することで、多剤輸送能の獲得機構を分子レベルで理解しようとする点が特徴である。また、改造輸送体の解析では、生化学、構造生物学、酵素化学など幅広い観点から検討を行い、獲得機構の本質の理解に努める。
