Outline of Research at the Start

有性世代が基本観察されていないColletotrichum属の近縁な病原型と共生型の糸状菌が植物根圏で互いに競合した際に有性生殖が誘引されるという申請者独自の発見をベースに、その植物微生物叢相互作用時における有性生殖を支える機構の解明および有性生殖が菌株の植物感染戦略に与える短期的・長期的な影響・意義を明らかにする。さらには、有性生殖を活用した交配による順遺伝学的手法を開発することを目的とし、共生から病原と多彩な感染戦戦略をもつColletotrichum属菌の共生・病原を分かつ菌側分子機構を順遺伝学的に解明する道筋を立てる。
