Outline of Research at the Start

本研究の目的は、マツタケなどの外生菌根菌の子実体（キノコ）を人工的に誘導する新規手法を開発することである。一般的に、樹木の根系で共生する菌類である外生菌根菌は、シイタケなどの腐生菌と違って、人工的に子実体発生を誘導することが極めて困難である。申請者は、野外における外生菌根菌の子実体発生パターンの長期観察結果を基にして独自の仮説を立てた。本研究では、この仮説の検証を通して『外生菌根菌の子実体発生を人工的に誘導する手法を確立する』という社会的ニーズの高い課題の解決を目指す。
