Outline of Research at the Start

私たちの体にある核酸の一種であるRNAは、遺伝情報の伝達などに不可欠な役割を果たしています。RNAは通常1本鎖ですが、部分的に2本鎖になることがあり、右巻きが安定です。しかし、近年、左巻きのRNAが細胞内で形成されている可能性が示唆されており、ウイルス由来のRNAに多く存在していると予想されています。しかし、この巻き方の動態を捉える方法がないことから、私たちは、細胞内でのRNAの巻き方を可視する手法の開発に挑戦します。
