Outline of Research at the Start

DNAメチル化維持で生じる片鎖メチル化DNAは一過的な反応産物なのか、エピジェネティックな働きをもつ機能的なマークなのかは議論の中にある。本研究では、申請者が発見した片鎖メチル化DNA結合タンパク質CDCA7を活用して、片鎖メチル化DNA検出ツールの開発を行う。本ツールを用いて、片鎖メチル化DNAの新しい生物学的な機能の解明を目指し、クロマチン研究領域の発展を目指す。
