Outline of Research at the Start	ほとんどの生物は約24時間周期で変動する生理リズム（概日リズム）を有する。哺乳類において、間脳の視床下部に存在する視交叉上核（SCN）が概日リズムを司る中枢時計として機能している。SCNは様々な概日リズムを制御しており、そのうちのひとつである体温リズムは睡眠障害や時差ボケ症候群の発症と深く関わっていると考えられているが、その形成機序は不明である。そのため、申請者は体温リズム制御に関わっている脳領域、神経細胞群、神経伝達物質およびその受容体を特定したいと考え、将来創薬のターゲットにすることを期待している。
