Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、血管内皮細胞で特異的に発現するApelin-APJシグナルの機能に着目し、IPFにおけるApelin-APJシグナルの機能異常とそのメカニズムについて解析を行う。さらに、肺線維症ラットモデルおよびヒト線維化肺の血管内皮細胞モデルを用いて、Apelin-APJシグナルの活性化による線維化の抑制効果を検討する。本研究により、難治性のIPFの病態解明や新規治療の開発に繋がることが期待される。
