Outline of Research at the Start

本申請では、ゲノムワイド関連解析（GWAS）から見出された疾患感受性遺伝子の候補である LDL Receptor Related Protein Associated Protein 1 (LRPAP1)に着目し、その機能異常における緑内障病態への関与についてノックアウトマウスを用いた分子メカニズムの解明を目指す。本申請による研究では、GWASから同定された緑内障関連遺伝子の疾患病態におけるメカニズムを解明することで、将来の緑内障の個別化医療に資する基盤研究に発展することが期待される。
