Outline of Research at the Start

超高齢社会における口腔カンジダ症の増加に対し、従来の抗真菌薬による口腔カンジダ症治療法は薬剤耐性（AMR）問題を含む多くの課題を抱えている。2016年に発見されたペプチド毒素『カンジダリシン』はCandida albicansの病原性発揮において重要であり、耐性真菌を生み出さない新たな治療法の新規治療標的となり得る。本研究では、口腔カンジダ症におけるカンジダリシンの役割を詳細に解析し、さらに、カンジダリシン中和の有効性を検証することによって、口腔カンジダ症治療法に対する新たなアプローチを目指すものである。
