| Outline of Research at the Start |
高齢者が考える「よい死」には、家族の重荷にならないこと、すなわち残された家族の負担が最小限であることが重要視される。しかし、家族が考える高齢家族の「よい死」について着目した研究はこれまでない。本研究の目的は、令和時代に生きる高齢者が考える「よい死」の概念を家族側の視点を含めて再構成することである。さらに、「よい死」の経験が家族の生の価値観に与える影響を解明し、「よい死」の概念を一般社会に普及させるための知識基盤をつくることである。この波及効果として、終末期医療の希望について率直に話し合う機会が増え、医療従事者による患者や家族への個別ニーズに合った介入を可能にすると考える。
