学術論文作成と学会発表を最終目標とし、そのためにスリランカをはじめとした島嶼国における災害対策に関する情報を収集し、共同研究を行う。具体的には、スリランカの大学など、それぞれの国に造詣の深い研究者とのネットワークを広げ、意見交換を行い、国際的な文脈とさまざまな視点を分析過程に導入する。
