| Outline of Research at the Start |
This study will provide convincing evidence that in areas where the forest still provides enough resources for free, local people are not willing, nor able to invest money and labor for alternative livelihood productions. This study will provide the first baseline insights for the choice of the: (1) suitable alternative products to develop; (2) priority sites for alternative projects; and (3) target people in rural Cameroon. This research will demonstrate why the last two insights, which have been particularly neglected, are essential for future project designs.
