| Outline of Research at the Start |
We first characterize fluctuations in wind, solar power and consumer demand fluctuations and establish long timescale fluctuations and correlations originating from climate. Then we focus on short timescale fluctuation intermittency which is important to forecast to maintain smooth supply-demand balance on the grid. Eventually we want to exploit stochastic control tools to make predictions.
