Outline of Research at the Start |
This project studies non-photochemical quenching (NPQ) in Chlamydomonas, including its psychrophilic halotolerant variant, to explore the evolution of photoprotective measures. It assesses the photoprotective proteins including LHCSR1, LHCSR3, and PsbS, and xanthophyll pigments' impact on NPQ using mutant analysis and spectroscopy. The goal is to publish impactful research on algal photosynthesis.
