| Outline of Research at the Start |
単層カーボンナノチューブを分子修飾すると、室温で動作する通信波長帯の単一光子源となることが知られている。これを、近年めざましい進歩を遂げている光集積回路と融合させることで量子性を操作する回路が実現できる可能性がある。そこで、本研究ではカーボンナノチューブ単一光子源を組み込んだ光集積回路の研究に取り組む。単一光子源をオンチップで光導波路と結合させる技術を開発し、複数の素子を単一チップ上に集積する手法の確立を目指すほか、変調素子と単一光子源を集積した回路の試作と評価にも取り組む。
