| Outline of Research at the Start |
細胞分裂に伴う一連の細胞形態変化の過程が細胞周期である。本研究では、細胞周期の過程で変化する細胞内環境に依存して形成されるDNA四重らせんの役割を定量的に解明し、その機能を化学的に制御することを目指す。そのために、下記の研究を段階的に実施する。
1. 細胞周期に依存した細胞内環境の時空間的変化を解析する。
2. DNA配列と溶液環境からDNA構造安定性を予測する。
3. 細胞周期をコントロールする化学技術の開発する。
本研究は、細胞内の分子クラウディング環境に応じてDNA四重らせんが細胞周期を制御していることを明らかにする、極めて独創的な研究である。
