Outline of Research at the Start |
In this project, we propose photonic structures for enantiomer separation and chirality enhancement. We first design the photonic devices using vigorous numerical simulations. The second step is the fabrication of silicon-based waveguide and metasurfaces based on the simulated results. To demonstrate the functionality of the structure, a racemic mixture of enantiomers flows to the waveguide to separate the enantiomers of different handedness.
