Outline of Research at the Start |
The purpose of this research is to develop a prostatic urethral stent by using shape memory polymer (SMP), along with its conjugation with suitable chemical, or herbal drugs to be released and treat the prostatic diseases. This is a novel approach for prostate diseases therapy which incorporate the mechanical properties of SMP (material sciences) into the drugs therapeutic efficiency (biological sciences) to get the beneficial effects (both chemical and mechanical) with less invasive technique and side effects.
