Outline of Research at the Start

This study aims to create a method to measure the benefits of wetland ecosystem services (WES) under current and future land use/cover (LULC) change scenarios for 2030 and 2050. Using GIS and remote sensing, it will analyze LULC changes, develop wetland protection scenarios, and assess their economic and social benefits. The approach will be applied to five megacities in the Global South to recommend sustainable WES strategies.
