Outline of Research at the Start

Our results will improve our understanding of the distribution and abundance of T. gondii and other pathogens in marine environments and their freshwater catchments. The development of a molecular detection toolkit for T. gondii based on non-invasive eDNA technologies will be an important contribution, enabling more accurate and efficient detection of this parasite in environmental samples. This study has significant implications for public health, environmental management, and conservation of aquatic ecosystems.
