Outline of Research at the Start	（1）ヴェーダ文献全体から「天界への上昇と地上への下降」という観念との関連が想定される表現の用例を収集・分析し、その言語層・文献種別・祭式種別における位置づけを把握する。（2）代表的王権儀礼ラージャスーヤとアグニチャヤナを中心に、サヴァと呼ばれる儀礼群の記述について、王権賦与的要素と天界獲得的要素とを弁別し、各種王権儀礼の複合的な構造、および、王権儀礼と天界獲得との関係を探る。その際には、儀礼中の特別な身体状況という観点と、王権儀礼において儀礼が再解釈された可能性に鑑みて、検討を行う。（3）南インドのケーララ州における実地調査と同時に、博士論文の自費出版を目指し、協力者との意見交換を行う。
