Outline of Research at the Start

人間は様々な情景・物体を知覚するだけでなく、そうした知覚過程そのものについて熟考・監視・評価することができる。こうした「メタ認知」と呼ばれる高次の認知能力は適応的な行動を支えるだけでなく、我々がありありと感じる知覚意識とも関係が深い。本研究では、メタ認知過程の知覚意識への因果的影響を検討するため、メタ認知に関わる脳領域とその表象形式を同定し、さらにはその表象を操作した際の知覚意識の変化を錯視をはじめとする頑健な視覚現象によって測定する。
