原子核系は、陽子と中性子からなる量子多体系である。この原子核系では、多数の陽子・中性子が集団的に運動する状態が特徴的である。集団運動の理論的な記述は、核分裂や励起スペクトルの計算のために不可欠な重要課題である。しかし、従来の集団運動の研究は、経験則に頼った模型を用いて行われてきた。本研究課題では、原子核の集団運動を非経験的に記述する新手法を開発して、従来の理論計算を検証・改良する研究を行う。
