| Outline of Research at the Start |
国境紛争は、国家間紛争の主たる原因の一つとして、国際関係論において盛んに研究されてきた。しかしながら、第二次世界大戦後、全国境の内、紛争になっているものは3分の1以下であることが指摘されている。そこで、本研究は、国境線を紛争の対象にしないことによって国家は具体的にどのような恩恵がもたらされるのかということを示す。国家建設期における国境画定の効果に注目した理論枠組みを構築し、その因果関係を実証する。
