Outline of Research at the Start

In this research we will use polymerization inside the highly organized nanospaces of Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs) to develop a general-use method for the construction semiconducting polymer devices which alternate between two materials on the molecular level. Such structures maximize both charge carrier mobility and the contact area between electron donor and acceptor components, enhancing the efficiency of devices such as organic solar cells.
