本研究は、ニーチェ思想における初期から中期にかけて見られる「自然主義的な転回」の根拠を、哲学・芸術・文化という学際的な観点から検討する。「自然主義的な転回」とは、諸科学の認識がいかに可能なのかを検討して基礎づけを試みる「第一哲学」から、こうした基礎づけを取り払い、一切を自然の内で捉える「自然主義」の哲学への転換である。これにより、ニーチェ思想全体を単に時系列的に叙述するのではなく、論理的な展開として発展史的に読む可能性を示すと共に、こうした転換の思想史的な意義を把握できる。
