開発途上国は学習到達度のみならず、学習への意欲、態度、行動等の非認知的な指標も国際平均よりも低い。学生間の顕著なばらつきが主要な阻害要因として指摘されている。個別最適な教育をおこなうアプローチは一定の有効性があるが、途上国には優秀な教員人材が足りない。アダプティブラーニング技術を用いた研究が進む一方、公立教育システムで機能するかはまだ検証されていない。本研究ではインドネシアで公立校の大規模なサンプルを用いたランダム化比較試験データを活用し因果効果を分析する。通常授業時間内での介入実施となるため、従来の教授法による効果との直接比較が可能であり、開発途上国の教育制度改善への貢献も期待できる。
