研究の目的は超原子価ヨウ素による不斉酸化的カップリング反応における新規不斉誘起手法の開発である。
キラルブレンステッド酸触媒の化学と超原子価ヨウ素を組み合わせることで、新規不斉誘起手法を開発する。これまで困難であった解離性機構の不斉制御を達成することで超原子価ヨウ素による環境調和型不斉酸化的カップリング反応を拡張する。
