Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、従来支配的に語られてきた台湾総督府と台湾文化協会による二項対立図式の外側に位置する市井の人々の映画文化に焦点を当て、そこでのナショナリズムにおける日本と台湾の相克の複雑な様相を明らかにすることである。映画史の探求という性格上、本研究では印刷物のみならず、既存の研究において等閑視されてきた映像、音声に跨る広範な同時代史料を用いて、実証的に研究を遂行していく。
