膜タンパク質の多くは機能発揮のために、複合体を形成することが知られている。そのため、細胞機能を理解するためには膜タンパク質のタンパク質-タンパク質相互作用(PPI)の解明が重要である。
しかし、膜タンパク質の複合体相互作用を生化学的に評価する方法がないため、相互作用領域の同定など詳細な解析を進めることはできていない。
そこで本研究では、コムギ無細胞タンパク質合成系を活用して膜タンパク質をナノディスク上で合成する技術の開発、およびナノディスク上膜タンパク質の相互作用を生化学的に解析可能な手法の開発を行なうことで生化学的に解析が困難であった膜タンパク質の相互作用解析系構築を目指す。
