| Outline of Research at the Start |
PAD7はp53標的遺伝子の一つであり、細胞外に分泌されるPAD7タンパク質をコードする。多くの固形腫瘍においてPAD7の発現低下が見られることから、生体内でがん抑制に重要な役割を果たすことが考えられる。近年、我々はPAD7ががん細胞にアポトーシスを誘導するメカニズムを解明した。一方で、正常細胞におけるPAD7の機能は不明である。そこで、本研究ではPAD7の正常細胞における機能について、特にがん周囲に存在する正常細胞やがんの微小環境における機能に焦点を当てて、分子レベル、個体レベルの研究を進める。
